I know the stress of wedding planning. You’re exhausted with all of the decisions to be made and deposits to put down. And you quickly discovered that everyone has an opinion. Everyone. What you need is a girls’ day! A day where you are celebrated and pampered.
When I was approaching the big day, it’s definitely what I needed. But, as I searched for my own wedding dress, I was met with a variety of sales attitudes and never truly felt listened to. Right then, I knew there had to be a better way.
My passion lies in helping others, and at one time, I was on the path to becoming a doctor. But life happens, and after my father passed away I decided to leave medical school and allowed my dreams to shift. I met my husband, Matt, and though it wasn’t the path I originally chose, my own wedding dress shopping experience sparked a new dream in me. That dream became a reality inside Opulence Bridal.
So, in 2018, in beautiful downtown Henderson, KY I started this gorgeous and fun little bridal boutique Opulence Bridal. You should have seen my own groom, in his farming overalls and a beanie, standing in my front window steaming every single one of my dresses as we prepared for opening day! He mainly hangs new light bulbs for me now, but at the beginning, I couldn’t have done it without him. Having a partner who invests in your dreams is an amazing feeling! I’m so excited you’ve found yours!

Frequently Asked Questions by Our Opulent Brides
What will my private appointment look like?
You’ll have the entire boutique to yourself for 1.5 hours. If you need more time, we can always schedule another appointment for you. You can bring 2 of your favorite people with you. Before your appointment we’ll discuss your bridal gown vision and body shape. Then, on the day of your appointment, we’ll pull dresses we believe will help you fulfill that vision. Of course you can peruse all of our dresses at your leisure as well. Once you say “yes” to the dress, we can continue the celebration with a toast (upon request) and a fun photo op!
What style of wedding gowns do you carry?
Ashley, the owner, picks out every single one of the gowns you’ll see in the shop. She works with bridal gown designers whose dresses are not found locally. There are a few things we look for in any gown we choose: quality, classic fits, beautiful lace and timeless embellishments. We have the classic gown styles, but we also carry unique designs you won’t find anywhere else in the area. Learn more about our dresses here!
What size wedding dresses do you carry?
With each bride’s uniqueness in mind, we carry sample dresses in sizes 4 through 26. You can get a better idea of the designers and styles of dresses we carry here.
What’s the price range of your dresses?
Our dresses generally run from $1,100 – $3,200, though we always have a sale going with discontinued sample dresses. We own all of our dresses and each one is handled with pristine care.
Is the private appointment free?
Yes! We offer every bride a complimentary, unique bridal boutique experience. We do ask for a credit card to book your appointment. Our $25 cancellation fee is only if you need to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment.
How long does it take to get a dress in?
Most dresses take 5-6 months to produce and you will need a minimum of 12 weeks for alterations. If you have a wedding date approaching soon, don’t panic! We’ve got your back! Just please keep in mind you may not have every option available and there may be rush fees. However, we will help you navigate all your options, so just leave the stress to us!
Do you offer a payment plan?
We accept most major credit cards, cash and local checks. Though we don’t offer a payment plan, we do take Paypal Credit for brides who need a little extra time saving for their dream dress.
Are you open for walk-ins?
At this time we only allow private appointments. This allows us to create a personalized experience for each of our brides. We lock the doors for each appointment which provides our brides with 100% privacy for her and her guests.
Since we’re making this a celebration, can we bring in food or drink for our appointment?
As Ashley says, “grace” is not her middle name, so no outside food or drinks are allowed. We will have bottled water for you and your guests. Please leave any other drinks at home or in the car. Upon request, we will toast champagne after you say “yes” to the dress!
Do you alter the dresses?
You will come in and be fitted at Opulence Bridal. Then we will send your gown to one of the different alterations specialists we routinely work with. We love seeing how they’re able to take any gown and make it fit our Opulent Brides.
