I want to share my story and personal experience on why I drove 4.5 hours one way from my home in MS to Opulence Bridal.
I had been to dress shops in 5 states. I saved the dress shop in Arkansas for last, it was huge and the “Kleinfield” of the south. After feeling rushed through a 2 hour appointment, I found a dress I loved. However, I wanted a different color lining underneath the lace. The employee told me it didn’t come in any other colors besides the one I tried on. Which was odd to me because that isn’t typical of a wedding gown. I left there without a dress.
On the way home I started calling other places that carried that designer. About 15 phone calls later I was getting really worried seeing that not many people had what I was looking for. I called back the place in Arkansas and made a 2nd appointment because I was going to settle for the dress in that color. This was 2 days after I left there. She told me that even if I ordered within the next week, it would not be here in time. This was in May. I went back to calling the places that carried the designer.
I came across Opulence bridal in Kentucky. Ashley told me that the dress did come in the color I wanted and that I had plenty of time, it could even be rushed if needed. I was on the phone with her for 2 hours discussing options. I picked out 8 dresses I loved from the designer and sent them to her. I told her everywhere I called told me that they could get any dress I wanted to try in, but it was usually $65 per dress and a stock size of a 6. Which doesn’t help me much considering a 6 wouldn’t fit me. Ashley called me back to tell me that she had managed to get a “trunk show” at her store with every single one of the dresses that I liked. At no cost to me. The dresses came, I made a road trip, and she shut down the shop for me as she does every bride, but my appointment lasted 5 hours. There was no rush or time limit.
My dream dress & matching veil finally came in and so we made another road trip. This time she had gone out of her way to a local flower shop and picked out a custom bouquet of flowers for me because I had come so far to see her. She had cupcakes and cookies made just for us. Jennifer (the amazing alteration lady) was there waiting also – She would do the alterations that night. We stayed in town to pick the dress up the next morning. It was absolutely perfect and everything I could’ve ever imagined. She had the photos she had taken of us in the shop developed and framed to give to us that next day, and even for one developed and framed for Hannah to have. There is not a single thing more that Ashley could’ve done for me to make the process go any better. She made phone calls and phone calls to make my dream come true. There isn’t enough kind things I could say about her and my experience. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding gown.

“I can’t believe I found Ashley, Opulence bridal and my dream dress, half way round the world !!! I wouldn’t have dreamed of buying unseen or from the US (in the middle of a worldwide lockdown no less) before I stumbled across Ashley on the still white site and connected instantly with her. Let’s be honest these bridal places can often be a bit intimidating! But Ashley is so friendly, professional and really knows her stuff!! Nothing was too much trouble and she answered every question thoughtfully and thoroughly (I’m not sure she sleeps as she answered almost immediately Everytime and we are in totally different time zones!) I will never be able to find the words to describe my experience here with Ashley. From the moment I scheduled my appointment, to the moment I said YES, she was nothing short of amazing. This is my 5th bridal shop (over 100 dresses later) and it blew all of the others out of the water. You get the entire shop to yourself and Ashley takes care of you every second you are there. I’m super picky and very hard on myself/my body and she was able to find me 2 dresses that I loved!!! She never complained when I kept putting those 2 back on at least 20 times trying to decide which was “the one”. She respected my budget and we wasted no time on dresses I didn’t like. This was the best dress shopping experience of my life and I recommend any and every bride to shop at Opulence… you will not regret it!
